Hello
Hi! I'm Megan. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Board Certified Counselor and Certified Health, Wellness and Life Coach and I am here to help you!

I use an integrative approach to mental health and overall personal wellness using counseling and coaching methods and interventions that encourage the balance of mind, body and soul. I merge mindfulness coaching, life coaching and mindfulness based cognitive behavioral therapy to treat individuals seeking help with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, stress relief, life transitions, coping skills, personal wellness or those just plain feeling stuck and needing some direction.

I'm a runner, coffee LOVER, yogi, and mindfulness seeker who loves the beautiful outdoors of Colorado. I can often be found hiking with my husband and our crazy Sheepadoodle, Duncan, or lounging on my deck reading a good book on spiritual growth or mindfulness.

I am warm, quirky and supportive. I love a good laugh. It brings me joy to help others realize their potential and feel EMPOWERED.

I believe in balance and moderation. I believe that we are ALL capable of changing things that are less than desirable in our lives. I believe we all have the potential to be better and sometimes we just need an advocate to hold us accountable and be our cheerleader.
my approach
My belief that everyone is unique guides my individualized approach with clients. What works for one person may not necessarily work for another, so a big part of this process is figuring out what works best for YOU – from the type of overall therapeutic intervention to details like self-care or food choices.
This may require you to do some home practice between sessions (Examples of practices may include journaling, focusing on your breath, trying different kinds of foods, getting outside or simply drinking more water).

That being said, I like to focus progress, not perfection. I will help you take some of the pressure off of trying to be perfect-in-every-way all the time.
Sometimes it will still hurt. Sometimes you will be scared. Sometimes you will trip and be mad at me. But each time, I will be there to help you refocus and get back on your feet.

I’m not a 24/7 hand-holder, but more of an advocate, support, and cheerleader right by your side as you embark on your journey to overall mental health.

Though you may not feel like it when you first begin working with me, YOU are the expert on YOUR life, not me. I strongly believe that we all have intuition and inner-wisdom and part of our work together is to learn how to listen; listen to our hearts, bodies, and desires, and not to our anxiety and self-doubt.

Together we will explore what’s getting in the way of you living your best-ever life, and come up with realistic, creative, impactful ways of acting on your inner cues.

The main principals that guide my approach:

-
Focusing on self-care, self-compassion, and self-acceptance
-
Identifying core desires and desired feelings to turn them into achievable and inspiring goals
-
Addressing unhelpful thoughts and habits
-
Mindfulness and meditation
-
Spirituality, if you’re into it
-
Movement, yoga, and breathwork
-
Improving the health of your brain
-
Sharpening your ability to listen to your innate intuition and to trust yourself again (or maybe for the first time)
